Let's See Some Purple

Can't think up something clever to draw... so I just decided to snap a picture of some of my purple things. I have a lot of purple stuff just because it's my favorite color, but I like how it's being used to represent something here... this Spirit Day thing.

I suppose if this picture needed an explanation, or something as to why I submitted it to this gallery, I guess I can say that I love that no matter how much black and white you add to purple... it's still pretty. It's just kinda a shame not everyone can see the same with everything else, no matter what you do, where you come from, or who or what you are.

Being raised in an environment like mine, both my real mom and Mom (Grandma) have always taught me to be accepting of nearly everything, because you never know who you might meet, or what someone you really know and care about is. My whole family, even the extended and in law has effectively encompassed nearly everything, from Christian, to Catholic, to Jewish, To Mormen... we've had nearly every skin tone, mixed race, every view and preference, whatever sexuality, homeless or no, deaf, hard of hearing, disabled, or things you wouldn't even consider or think about...

What I love about us all is that no matter what we are, we're all equal and the same under our roof, and when we congregate to a place for whatever occasion, we're a family. No mater what we are, who we are, what we look like, what we like to do... whatever whatever we do... no one gets judged or picked on. We might have our hard times, and we may have split over the years to different places, but it's still family and friends...

If only the world could feel the same to others...
