Retro Metal: Awesome! I get to be as cool as you in the future!
Metal: What in Chaos is THAT!?
Eggman: That's you in 1993.
Metal: No.
Eggman: What?
Metal: No. Get rid of it. NOW.
And if Sonic gets to meet his retro self in this new game... why not Metal?
Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to be enjoying the idea as much. Retro Metal seems to, however. ^^
I like to imagine that "younger" Metal was kinda nicer, as he is after all modeled after Sonic, and this would be before he went nuts.
I kinda hope that Metal gets to be in the upcoming game, with old school Metal as well.

Metal Sonic's would not be acting like that, they are full blooded killers. With no feelings at all.
